R.s. for gifted students at King Saud University
Approved a number of scientific research chairs at King Saud University to support the "apprenticeship" for gifted students launched Deanship of the preparatory year at King Saud University, with more than thirty students.
The Dean of the preparatory year, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Othman, that the "apprenticeship" is one of the enrichment programs world-renowned offered to talented students, which means providing outstanding care taking into account individual needs as it provides students the opportunity to progress in the field of interest selected in order to build and deepen his knowledge through the supervision of a specialist in this area.
He added that the idea of the program is based on the composition of scientific communication processes between gifted students and between professionals and experts in a variety of academic areas according to a mechanism specific scientific and commensurate with the preferences and abilities of students, so that these specialists and experts to supervise the students directly to help them acquire skills and expertise of scientific and research in a variety of the area of interest to conduct a project distinguished scientific end of the year.
The program also aims to assist the student participant to be able to develop his skills in scientific research and use scientific thinking strategies effectively and develop mental skills to solve scientific problems in creative ways and to identify scientific specialization is most appropriate for their abilities and inclinations and interests as also aims to develop and acquire positive attitudes towards scientific research in science-related Bahtmamath and abilities and develop self-learning skills, as he had sought the student in the program to the implementation of the scientific project can be presented to a distinguished professional specialists at the end of the program reflects the extent to which students gave him in the program.
