Through the evaluation process of the different ideas which have been received by the Innovation Center, it has been noticed that most of the suggested (thrown) ideas are just concepts, not even developed at all. In addition, some bear-potential ideas (having marketable potential) need more development with fabrication of prototypes and testing for proving the concept.
Therefore, a specialized "Innovation Center Workshop" has been established with the objective to assist potential inventors (idea generators) with their work by offering highly professional and efficient support and advice. With the wide and varied knowledge in the fields of machine, electronics, production technology, and testing, the workshop is designed to help the inventor to develop his/her idea from a concept to a working model. In other words, the workshop, in collaboration with interested, experienced faculty members, can assist with every stage of a project from preparing the specification, design and manufacture, to continuous monitoring and testing of the concept (idea).
The workshop is primarily used for the development, prototyping, and testing of technically innovative ideas that have potentials for marketing. The workshop can also be used by the final year students for fabrication of their B.Sc. senior projects. The workshop is equipped with proper workbenches and operated by an excellent group of technicians.
